For just some moments as she steadied herself and acquainted herself with that little sliver of ache, she strengthened her resolve. She was their leader. She had to be better.
When she felt a little more confident, she didn't completely shrug him off, but she did attempt to put a little distance between them. Tilting her chin up to eye where they'd fallen in from, she took note of the plank that lingered above them. No way she was going to casually make it up there.
