[What a spoilsport, but maybe she deserved that. Where likely others are more inclined to be enthused about more exciting things, it must have seemed rather mundane for her to be keen on books. Books that were clearly aged and no longer suitable for reading material, no less. But it somehow seemed perfectly her, the self-proclaimed royalty of the boring.
Still, it was nice to listen to him talk about things that he clearly knew plenty about. It was something she'd occasionally regretted. Talking with him was sometimes challenging and she didn't always know what to say to him or how to say it. So being able to have a conversation, even one where he was explaining how magical artefacts remained in place, was an improvement.]
I guess you're right, but I still think it's neat. There are so many things in this would that don't last. I really admire things that do. It's an amazing resilience. Worthy of admiration.

Oh, look at this. Hardly looks aged. I wonder what it was doing here, though. A shame I didn't find a note along with it. We'd know if there was someone we needed to return it to. Could see what price this would fetch, too, but it's awfully pretty.
