[He studied every move, every breath, and every second of hesitation before hearing her reply. That was something important to Nepione and that could only benefit him in the long run, if he wanted to keep her close and have some kind of power over her decisions and heart. Her lips said no, but the spawn was not going to be deterred so easily. He glanced to the side, to his comfort blanket, the same cloth he had been buried him: the concept of being close to one's roots, to seek family and such, it was a concept lost to him but not totally unfamiliar.

He pretended to be focused on her while weighting his options. This was possibly the best thing he could do on his own for her, considering he was the stealthies one in the group. No druid could just sneak in, right? Any animal would have been mauled by the tower residents anyway. This... was a great way to step in the spotlight again, he just had to find the right way to convince her that she could trust him.

Nepione... [No stupid nicknames, no 'love' or 'darling' just her plain name for once.] I am literally planning to scout the tower after my next meditation session. I have one hour of invisibility every time I rest and I use it wisely, if there is something you are looking for or someone you're after, then I am willing to look for it.

[Tone flat, no weird inflections, just a serious conversation to send the message across as well as he could. What came next was full of the usual flourish, though, him not being 'himself' for too long wouldn't be a good thing.]

And don't think I will go there just for you. Knowing what to expect before even going toward the tower as a group is essential while you all play little nature's healer with the shadows. I plan to investigate the door at the docks tomorrow, it's going to be either the prisons or an inner dock, maybe both. It's not... me going out of my way.

[That wasn't offering too much, nor going completely out of his way in her name, it was rational and made sense. Everyone in the group had a talent of some sort and Astarion knew he was the right person for this kind of job.]

I think it would be absolutely more stupid to go in that place without having... a clear idea of all the possible advantage points. With our tadpoles we may even pass as allies, it wouldn't be the first time, but think about it: what if as we see inside them, they can do the opposite? No, we must get all we can in advance.
